All Scripture is God-breathed.

High View of Scripture, Which is The Word of God. God's Word is timeless and true. And, in it, we support the following views on the reading, interpreting and preaching of His Word:

  • Historical-Literal-Grammatical Hermeneutics. The Biblical text is to be interpreted according to the plain meaning conveyed by its grammatical construction and historical context. The literal meaning is held to correspond to the intention of the authors.
  • Expository Preaching, Verse-by-Verse. Preaching by exposition is, fundamentally, explaining the Bible, and generally verse by verse. Over time, this expositional approach covers entire books of the Bible.
  • Support for the Five (5) Solas [Calvinist]. The five solas of the Reformation are sola scriptura (Scripture alone), solus Christus (Christ alone), sola fide (faith alone), sola gratia (grace alone), and soli Deo gloria (glory to God alone).
  • Literal Seven (7), 24-hour days of Creation. The first chapter in Genesis succinctly denotes each period of God's creation event with "There was evening and there was morning" as it concludes each day.
  • Cessationist. Although it is given that God can and still does perform miracles today, the Holy Spirit no longer uses individuals to perform miraculous signs.
  • Reality of Heaven and Hell. The realms of Heaven and Hell both exist ... and we know this to be the case because Scripture tells us so.
Low View of the Nature of Man. As Holy, complete and perfect is the person of God and — although we are made in His image with almost limitless portential — we are born with a sin nature and, by default, are all given to the following:

  • Depravity — Total, filled with Sin and the Selfish temptation so to do.
  • Deserving of Hell — i.e., Eternal separation from God.
  • In Desperate Need of Salvation, which cannot be obtained by our own doing.
